November 3rd 2010 – Commercial EPC demand increasing due to improved compliance

Energy Assessment instructions for Commercial EPCs have increased over the last few months with our commercial energy assessors delivering Energy Performance Certificates across the region including Bracknell, Crowthorne, Henley, Maidenhead, Reading, Slough, Tilehurst, Winnersh, Wokingham. Commercial property sizes have ranged from 50m2 to 2699m2 with a variety of commercial applications including town centre office units, retail outlets, fast food outlets, out-of-town commercial units and others.

May 26 2010 - EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) still form key part of 3Counties services to local clients.

Even though HIPs are now suspended, the EPC which is required under European law is still a requirement for domestic properties either being sold or rented. 3Counties were asked to contribute to a recent article on HIPs and how the company might be affected, in the Wokingham Times. March 2010 – 16 EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) and property Floor Plans – over 1200 m2 completed and delivered to client within 24hrs!

3Counties recently delivered 16 EPCs with the corresponding Floor Plans for several complex domestic buildings in a local town centre. The properties provided various access and logistics challenges, including the fact that they had previously been split into flats with the corresponding very large bunches of keys! The client was delighted with the quick turnaround.

November 2009 - Home Information Packs (HIPs) form significant part of the 2000 job instructions now received from local clients

September 2009 - 3Counties takes part in Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) research project for the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG)

3Counties participated in a key stakeholder discussion where scheme operators and other stakeholders reviewed the existing standards and guidance documents and made constructive suggestions for their improvement. The group provided valuable input into the quality assurance regime to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) for DECs (Display Energy Certificates), Commercial EPCs and Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
